Beetlejuice
Beetlejuice
"An uproarious ghost comedy! There hasn't been anything like it since Ghostbusters."
What's a couple of likable, home-loving ghosts to do when their New England home is taken over by trendy New Yorkers? "Let's get that Beetlejuice person," they decide. So they contract the afterlife's freelance bio-exorcist to scare off the family. And everyone gets more than he, she or it bargained for!
You'll get more, too. More comedy. More scares. More outlandish, gleeful wanna-see fun than ever. Because Beetlejuice is the name in laughter from the hereafter...and for a long, long time to come.
Director Tim Burton, who guided Pee-wee Herman in Pee-wee's Big Adventure, now teams with another irrepressible talent, Michael Keaton (Night Shift, Mr. Mom, Clean and Sober.) As Beetlejuice, Keaton is a jangled juggernaut of jokes, jolts, and jive. He hurls one-liners. Spins into grotesque forms. Gobbles insects. And just can't leave the ladies (living or dead) alone.
Alec Baldwin (Knots Landing, Married to the Mob), Geena Davis (The Fly, Accidental Tourist) and more join Keaton in a cast that puts the super in this supernatural spoof. Starring, too, is the movie's look. Burton and his crew create a fantastically inventive, screwloose view of the world - and the next. You'll see monsters stalk, corpses wither, tentacles snatch and an afterlife waiting room crammed with a goofy ghoulish assortment of the recently deceased.
Excorcise your right to fun. Say the "B" word three times and "get that Beetlejuice person" for yourself. You'll have a wonderful Day-O!
